I am using the book for an introductory computer programming course at the high school level and the students love it. The tutorials and activites in the text are very straightforward and the challenges give students enough support and "scaffolding" for struggling students, yet also provide extra challenges for the go getters who want who need extra challenges. The questions at the end of each chapter are a great way to make sure students have understood the concepts behind the tutorials without taking too much time away from the important task of actual problem solving through hands on programming.
